Hoosier Joins PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series as Major Sponsor
The J&S Classics PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series presented by Hoseheads.com is proud to announce Hoosier Racing Tire as a major sponsor, further strengthening a long-standing relationship between one of motorsports’ most respected brands and the heart of sprint car racing in Central Pennsylvania.
Hoosier’s involvement in the region spans decades, with deep connections to the tracks, teams, and fans who define Posse Country. Bob Wirts, VP of Operations C.A.G. Inc., Hoosier Tire-Mid Atlantic, notes that supporting the series was a natural decision, given Hoosier’s presence at virtually every local facility and its history of championing grassroots racing.
Bob, who has been involved in the Central Pennsylvania racing scene since 1998, emphasized Hoosier’s commitment to the sport’s continued growth. Having developed lifelong ties within the racing community, he has been instrumental in strengthening relationships with area tracks and competitors while helping expand opportunities for racers across the region. Sprint car
racing—and the venues that host it—remain a cornerstone of Hoosier’s business and passion, making support of the PA Posse initiative “a no-brainer” and an investment in the future of the sport. The partnership also creates opportunities for teams to compete for substantial prize funds, adding excitement for drivers and fans alike.
Wirts also highlighted the company’s distribution strength throughout Central Pennsylvania. As the direct distributor for the region, Hoosier maintains a robust dealer network that services local race tracks and competitors, ensuring consistent support across the sprint car landscape.
Wirts’ personal racing roots run deep. Inspired by family members who competed in drag racing and street stocks during the 1970s and 1980s, he developed a passion for motorsports at an early age. Time spent at W&W Racing Tires as a teenager—and an opportunity to enter the racing industry professionally in 1996—set the course for a lifelong career. Like many fans in
the region, he grew up attending races at Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, Selinsgrove Speedway, and Susquehanna Speedway—tracks that continue to shape the identity of sprint car racing in Pennsylvania.
Series officials expressed gratitude for Hoosier’s ongoing dedication, noting that partnerships like this ensure the PA Posse tradition remains strong for generations to come.
