PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series Adjusts Championship Points Structure Following Team Feedback
The J&S Classics PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series presented by Hoseheads.com has announced an adjustment to the championship points structure for the inaugural season after listening to feedback from race teams regarding the total number of events included in the series.
While all PA Speedweek events will remain a part of the PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series schedule, points earned during PA Speedweek races will not count toward the PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series Championship standings. The decision was made to address competitor concerns while still recognizing the importance and prestige of PA Speedweek within Central Pennsylvania sprint car racing.
Points will still be awarded toward the PA Speedweek Championship, which boasts a $37,000 point fund. In addition, teams will continue to receive their three designated “throwaway” races within the PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series championship, allowing competitors to drop their lowest three point totals from the remaining championship events as originally planned.
By continuing the tradition of keeping PA Speedweek as an “in season” stand alone series, the total number of point races in the PA Posse Sprint Car Series will now total thirty-seven. Teams will have their three designated “throwaway” races within the PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series championship, allowing competitors to drop their lowest three point totals from the remaining championship events as originally planned.
Combined, PA Speedweek and the PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series will pay out in excess of $200,000 in point funds alone, reinforcing the commitment to competitors and the overall strength of sprint car racing in Central Pennsylvania.
The PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series will feature a total point fund of $168,250 paying the top fifteen drivers. The total point fund payoff is as follows:
1 $50,000 8 $7,500
2 $25,000 9 $7,000
3 $15,000 10 $6,000
4 $12,000 11 $5,000
5 $10,000 12 $4,000
6 $9,000 13 $3,500
7 $8,000 14 $3,250
15 $3,000
“We value the feedback from our teams and competitors,” series officials stated. “This adjustment allows us to maintain a strong and balanced inaugural schedule, while giving teams additional flexibility and keeping PA Speedweek as a cornerstone of the Central Pennsylvania racing season.”
The PA Posse 410 Sprint Car Series is excited for its first season and proud of the lineup of premier Central Pennsylvania tracks that are included in the series including PA Speedweek. The 2026 PA SpeedWeek series will feature the largest total payoff in the thirty-six-year history of the series. Details will be released soon.
